Mathura/Vrindavan:
A deeply emotional and heart-wrenching case has emerged from the spiritual town of Vrindavan. Influenced by the sermons of Premanand Maharaj, a young man has abandoned his home and worldly responsibilities to pursue a life of devotion. His cancer-stricken parents, who are entirely dependent on him, have now released a video pleading with Maharaj to send their only son back home.
According to the family, their son became so deeply influenced by Premanand Maharaj’s spiritual discourses that he left home and returned to Vrindavan to live under the saint’s shelter. On Monday evening, his parents — both battling cancer — released an emotional video that has since gone viral on social media.
In the video, the pain and helplessness of the elderly couple is clearly visible. They say that their son was their only support in this difficult phase of life. His sudden decision to leave them has shattered them emotionally.
“Service to Parents Is the Highest Service”
In their appeal, the parents remind Premanand Maharaj of his own teachings.
“Maharaj ji, you yourself say in your sermons that serving one’s parents is the greatest service. But our son has left us and has devoted himself to the service of Radharani. Please tell him to return home,” they plead.
The father reveals that he himself had brought his son to Vrindavan for darshan and even got him initiated into guru diksha. “But we never imagined he would take such a drastic decision,” he says.
Massive Reaction on Social Media
The case has sparked discussion among devotees, saints, and the Vrindavan community. The video has touched the hearts of millions online, with many urging the young man to return home and serve his ailing parents.
While devotion is considered sacred, many believe that caring for one’s parents—especially those fighting a battle for life—is an act of dharma far greater than renunciation.
The family hopes that Premanand Maharaj’s guidance will bring their son back home and restore their only hope for survival.
